Science Presentations & Expert-led Lectures
Our adult outreach program includes the Petersburg Science Series, which is a monthly science seminar program. We host scientists and professionals to discuss a variety of natural sciences topics including humpback whale research, cephalopod intelligence, fisheries management, deer and moose population biology, and special presentations by National Weather Service marine forecasters.
Miss a presentation? We record some lectures so you can replay them at your own convenience.
The Petersburg Science Series is a collaboration between Petersburg Marine Mammal Center, Alaska Sea Grant and Petersburg Public Library. It is made possible with generous support from the Petersburg Community Foundation.
